My primary objective in this project was to skillfully integrate soft elements into a highly stylized contemporary design, aiming for a look that feels effortless and organic. At the heart of this concept lies the deliberate fusion of classic and modern elements, creating a truly distinctive and inviting atmosphere.
The carefully curated colour palette serves as the foundation of “The Coast.” Chalky whites form the backdrop, harmoniously complemented by subtle pastel hues such as dove greys, delicate blush tones, and the perennially elegant French blue. The chosen paint finishes are matte and chalky, ensuring a soothing and welcoming ambience throughout the space.
To infuse character and texture into the interiors, I’ve incorporated marble walls and various effect paints, each room receiving its own unique personality. The pièce de résistance of the living and dining area is an opulent, generously sized gold-framed mirror. Beyond its intrinsic luxury, it acts as a unifying element, seamlessly connecting these spaces and enhancing the overall flow and cohesiveness of the design.
To infuse a timeless sense of luxury, I’ve introduced champagne-gold trimming in both the kitchen and bedroom. This elegant detail adds sophistication that transcends fleeting trends, making the entire space truly exceptional. In my view, it’s the meticulous attention to these finer details that truly elevates a space to the level of artistry.
“The Coast” represents my vision of achieving harmony between classic and contemporary elements, effectively bridging the past and present to create an interior aesthetic that is simultaneously inviting and captivating. This concept invites you to immerse yourself in the elegance of classicism with a modern twist, where every element has been thoughtfully chosen to craft a space that exudes comfort, luxury, and a sense of enduring style.
